Egg Donation

Egg Donation may be required if your ovaries have stopped producing eggs.  In this treatment you receive eggs donated from a third party donor. The eggs are fertilised with the male partner’s sperm and a healthy embryo is replaced in the uterus.  The supply of donors in this country is limited and the HFEA keeps a register of all children conceived following treatment with donated eggs and sperm.  Some people prefer to travel abroad for treatment outside the jurisdiction of the HFEA and where the supply of donors is rather better resulting in decreased waiting times.  We have close links with clinics in the US and Europe and can refer you to these clinics, ften participating in the work-up and preparation for treatment which will reduce the length of time you need to be away.
